Fenix Fight Club Disciplines

Fenix Fight Club is a home to the very best in comprehensive MMA training. Membership includes UNLIMITED access to all of the classes that we teach. Each week, more than 20 classes are taught at FFC Woburn including Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (Gi and No Gi), Boxing, Wrestling, MMA and Strength & Conditioning.

Fenix Fight Club was started in Woburn MA, home to FFC Mixed Martial Arts Center. In Woburn we have 2100 square feet of top of the line Zebra MMA Mats and a half cage for the finest in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu training. The second floor is dedicated to standup work - with a full sized ring and bags. Our second location in Marlborough is under the supervision of Everilton "Soneca" Silva, also a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt.

We have continued to add training locations.  The Jiu Jitsu program’s at  MAXX Training Center in Stoughton, Michael Tang's Olympic Taekwondo & Martial Arts in Haverhill and Karate International in Salem are all designed by Ronaldo Campos and taught by members of the team.

As always, Fenix Fight Club invites men, women and children of all levels to join our team. We encourage you to find a location convenient to you and check it out!

BJJ

Description
Led by Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt, Ronaldo Campos, Fenix Fight Club trains in Gi and No Gi Jiu Jitsu. We offer beginner and all level classes and welcome men, women and teens to train on our team.
Benefits
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a cutting edge fighting art developed from traditional Jiu-Jitsu by the Gracie family of Brazil. Even though Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu contains standup techniques for winning a fight, it is famous for its devastating ground fighting techniques.
History
The closest equivalent of Brazilian or Gracie Jiu-Jitsu is Ko-sen Judo. The Ko-sen tradition refers to the network of the oldest high schools and universities in Japan which include Tokyo and Kyoto Universities. They hold their own competitions, and their tournaments favor "groundwork" or newaza (in Japanese) just like Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

MMA

The Mixed Martial Arts Class at Fenix Fight Club is designed for students to combine their Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Boxing, and Wrestling training to accelerate in the MMA arena. Most recently, students of Fenix Fight Club have competed at local shows ICE, WFL, WCF and continue to perform strongly.

History
Mixed martial arts (MMA) is a full contact combat sport that allows a wide variety of fighting techniques, from a mixture of martial arts traditions and non-traditions, to be used in competitions. The rules allow the use of striking and grappling techniques, both while standing and on the ground.

Master Ronaldo Campos is a former MMA fighter and understands what is necessary for Mixed Martial Arts training.

Strength & Condtioning class was developed by FFC Owner Ronaldo Campos as a way to incorporate his experience as a MMA fighter into a system that works for men and women to get into their best physical shape.

This class is dynamic, fast paced, different, fun…and EFFECTIVE. It will improve your speed, balance, and coordination. You will burn fat and build muscle. This is a great class not only for athletes but anyone looking to improve their physical conditioning.
History
This class was developed by FFC Owner Ronaldo Campos as a way to incorporate his experience as a MMA fighter into a system that works for men and women to get into their best physical shape. Using techniques learned through years of Jiu Jitsu, Wrestling, Boxing, Judo and Muay Thai, the Conditioning Class combines a variety of strength and conditioning exercises.

History
Boxing, also referred to as prizefighting, the noble art, the sweet science, the dealing of a rib-tickler and pugilism is a combat sport in which two participants of similar weight fight each other with their fists in a series of one to three-minute intervals called rounds.

Instructors
Our head boxing coach Julie Cervone, won the Golden Gloves in 2009, 2010 and 2011. Boxing and Strength and Conditioning Class are open to men and women of all levels and are also available for drop-in only.

Wrestling

Wrestling is the act of physical engagement between two unarmed persons, in which each wrestler strives to get an advantage over or control of their opponent. Physical techniques which embody the style of wrestling are clinching, holding, locking, and leverage.

Instructors
John Noble, two-time Winchester Wrestling Captain, has recently joined the Fenix Fight Club Trainers. John has more than 9 years of wrestling experience and many state and local titles
